Discipleship

Sunday Morning Worship

Many people may not think of Sunday morning worship as a time of discipleship. However, this is one of the most important times for Christian growth and discipleship. The word of God preached and the practices of the Lord's Supper and Baptism are absolutely essential to true discipleship. The Bible teaches that these are the primary means of how God grows his church, both numerically and spiritually. As a Christian is regular and consistent in attendance, week in and week out, intently listening to the word and receiving the Lord's Supper, he will become a more mature disciple of Jesus Christ.

Sunday School

Each Sunday morning at 9:45, church members of all ages meet in small groups to learn more about Jesus and how we might grow to love him more. We have several different classes for adults as well as classes for youth, children, preschoolers, and infants.

Bible Study

There are a variety of opportunities for Bible study and Christian growth. On Sunday nights, we sing, pray, read the Bible, and hear a Scriptural message. For the summer months of June, July, and August, we are meeting in the Gibsonville town square.

On Wednesday nights after our church-wide supper, we have different topical or Bible study groups. Currently, we are studying through Paul's letter to the Colossians.

Personal Discipleship Relationships

We're convinced that discipleship occurs not only within the wall of the church building, but also in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, and break rooms. This is why we want to emphasis investing not in programs, but in personal relationships. Sometimes members may want to partner with one another to read the Bible or a Christian book and pray together. If you would like to do this, please contact the church so that we can give you some guidance on how to structure your times together for the most benefit.
